Following the first workshop for the development of a strategy for renewable energies, especially off-grid, the Ministry of the Environment and Renewable Energies organised a second workshop to continue its strategy development on 29 and 30 October 2018 in Algiers.

The purpose of this workshop was to detail the key decisions to be made for the definition of the strategy and to compare the strategic alternatives for each decision, against a background of three different scenarios of the future. The key decisions taken will then lead to a single strategy. Its principal objective is to contribute to Algeria’s environmental, economic and social development via the development of off-grid renewable energies.
